Great news!

POW adds another Motion Picture Sound Editing award to the collection.

They Shall Not Grow Old is a documentary about World War I to commemorate the centennial of the end of the war, and has just won the MPSE Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Sound Effects, Foley, Dialogue and ADR for Documentary Feature Film.

Matt worked as Dialogue Editor on this documentary and is proud that it has been well received at these recent awards.

The film was created using original footage of World War I from the Imperial War Museum's archives.

The audio is from BBC and Imperial War Museum interviews of British servicemen who fought in the conflict. Most of the footage has been colourised, with the addition of sound effects and voice acting to feel closer to the soldiers' actual experiences.

The Power of Inclusion Summit was held in the Aotea Centre in Auckland on the 3-4 October.

POW’s Georgina Conroy attended the event, along with over 700 people, including 160 who received scholarships.

The two day programme was jam packed full of case studies, panels, conversations and keynotes. It included 66 speakers, over 30 of whom were international guests, presenting views from diverse global communities and positing future action to create a more inclusive industry and world.
