James Ashcroft deserves to bask in the warm rays of acclaim following his directorial debut of Coming Home In the Dark at this year's Sundance Festival. 

With audiences feasting on content, the challenge for filmmakers is delivering a piece worth their attention. Something people weren’t prepared for. In the horror and thriller genres, that’s bloody hard. 

In this weird time in the world, it turns out people still want to be challenged by screen content. Properly scared. After reading the initial reviews coming in for the film, Coming Home in the Dark has delivered just what the doctor didn’t order, a bleak, tense and often unshakeable ride.
