Description

Births, Deaths & Marriages 2019 is a pungent kiwi slant on classic domestic farce. Director and writer Bea Joblin teamed up with Robin Murphy and Ness Simons to make this comedy set in 1990s Upper Hutt, New Zealand.

This feature film boasts snappy dialogue and spot-on performances from a cast (including Joblin’s real life mum) Geraldine Brophy, Sophie Hambleton and Jamie McCaskill.

When Sinead Hart (Yvette Velvin) gets ditched at the altar, the dramas have only just begun.

After the Hart wedding no-show, the family videographer decides to leave his camera rolling — and he's spoilt for choice. Grandma ups and dies, and there's a birth pending in one of the bedrooms so at least the bridal catering won't go to waste.
