Shoot begins for “Anne and Edward”

Yesterday POW began production on ‘Anne and Edward’, a short documentary film that follows Edward, a 27 year old man with down syndrome living a big ordinary life in Wellington. Crewed by talented members of POW Studios extended whānau, Waka Attewell, Ken Saville and Jane Waddell, it may be a short doco but it’s got a lot of heart! We’ll keep you posted on the film’s progress.

We are very excited to be attending the NZIFF premieres of ‘Helen Kelly: Together’ and ‘Births, Deaths and Marriages‘ which screen this Sunday 28th July at the Soundings Theatre in Te Papa. Both films have SOLD OUT on their opening nights so be in quick to get tickets to other Wellington screenings.

And lastly, updates on the build of POW’s new premises. We are nearing completion, with our Edit rooms up and running and our Mix Suite waiting on a coat of paint next week. Here is a sneak peak of one of our Edit Rooms.

Looking forward to sharing our new space with you on the 14th August, save the date!
