POP

POP is this generation’s American Splendour or Science of Sleep. Not so much crossing the fourth wall as bullying it relentlessly; shaking it like a demented dog might do to its hapless doll. All with love, of course.

Budding US internet musician Mike (Trenton Colbert) heads to NZ, lured by smooth-talking filmmaker (Tim Hamilton) to make his masterpiece about turning the internet off and on again to reboot it. As his career and status begin to unravel along with Tim’s film, Mike finds a friend in a red balloon-dog, named Pop. The two form an unlikely bond as they realise they must complete their quest at all costs.
